This document outlines the comprehensive policies governing the use, functionality, and administration of the Smart Scoring (hereinafter referred to as “Smart Scoring”), developed and maintained by Waix Technologies Sdn. Bhd.These policies are designed to promote safe, inclusive, ethical, and lawful digital learning environments and to ensure compliance with national regulations, user expectations, and industry best practices.
2. EDUCATIONAL ALIGNMENT POLICY
2.1 Content Standards
All instructional materials and educational content hosted within Smart Scoring strictly conform to the official curricula as prescribed by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE), specifically the Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR) and Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Menengah (KSSM).
2.2 Content Review
Content is subject to routine audits and evaluations by a qualified team of certified educators, curriculum specialists, and academic advisors to ensure continued accuracy, pedagogical relevance, and alignment with current educational objectives.
2.3 Continuous Improvement
Recommendations from users, educators, and regulatory bodies are incorporated into content updates to maintain excellence and relevance in teaching and learning practices.
3. ACCESSIBILITY AND INCLUSION POLICY
3.1 Student Coverage
Smart Scoring is tailored to support Malaysian students ranging from Standard 1 to Form 5, with supplemental Islamic education content available via Smart Scoring-i.
3.2 Geographic and Economic Inclusion
To promote equity in education, Smart Scoring is accessible through web and mobile platforms and optimized for low-bandwidth areas.
4. USER ROLE MANAGEMENT POLICY
4.1 Role Classification
The platform distinctly categorizes users into roles with dedicated access:
– Students: Content consumption and assessments
– Teachers: Content assignment, student monitoring
– Guardians/Parents: Progress viewing and notifications
– Admins: Platform oversight, user management
4.2 Access and Permissions
Role-based access control (RBAC) is enforced to restrict data and functional access to authorized parties. Each role is provisioned with specific rights tailored to its scope and responsibilities.
4.3 Account Security
All user accounts are password protected. Admin roles require two-factor authentication (2FA). Session timeout policies are enforced to prevent unauthorized access.
5. PARENTAL AND EDUCATOR INVOLVEMENT POLICY
5.1 Monitoring Tools
Dashboards are provided for educators and parents/guardians to monitor student activities, learning progression, performance, and time spent on the platform.
5.2 Parental Consent
Prior to collecting, processing, or displaying any student-related information for non-educational or promotional use, written parental or guardian consent is mandatory. Consent forms are compliant with PDPA guidelines.
6. SUBSCRIPTION AND PAYMENT POLICY
6.1 Pricing Structure
– RM30 per student per month
6.2 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions are auto-renewed monthly unless manually cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
6.3 Refund Policy
Refunds are processed in the event of documented technical issues, service interruptions exceeding 48 hours, or erroneous billing. Requests must be submitted within 7 working days.
6.4 Payment Security
All transactions are secured through STRIPE compliant payment gateways.
7. CONTENT AND CURRICULUM POLICY
7.1 Curriculum Compliance
Content strictly adheres to the official syllabus provided by the MOE. Supplementary materials are labeled clearly.
7.2 Content Updates
Content is updated at minimum on a quarterly basis or as required by MOE syllabus changes. Notifications are sent when major changes are implemented.
7.3 Content Modification Rights
Waix reserves editorial control over all platform content and may revise or remove outdated or inappropriate materials.
8. DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP AND ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
8.1 Responsible Use
All users must behave ethically, avoid disruptive conduct, and respect intellectual property.
8.2 Prohibited Activities
Activities such as hacking, cheating, harassment, or dissemination of offensive content are strictly forbidden.
8.3 Enforcement
Violators will receive warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans based on the severity of the offense. Legal action may be taken when necessary.
9. PLATFORM SECURITY POLICY
9.1 Security Audits
Comprehensive audits are conducted biannually by third-party cybersecurity firms to ensure application security and compliance.
9.2 Authentication Measures
Strong password policies, CAPTCHA validation, and 2FA for sensitive roles are implemented.
9.3 Suspicious Activity Response
Anomalous user activity triggers automated alerts to administrators, followed by immediate investigation and appropriate action.
10. REPORTING AND FEEDBACK POLICY
10.1 Issue Reporting
Users can report bugs, inappropriate content, or misconduct via in-app tools or email. Anonymous reporting is available.
10.2 Feedback Review
All feedback is categorized, logged, and reviewed by the quality assurance team monthly for system and content improvements.
10.3 Support Response
All support queries are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 48–72 hours unless extended investigation is required.

11.2 Feature Enhancements
System updates are deployed every 8–12 weeks and may include UI improvements, new content types, and performance enhancements.
12. AI ETHICS AND TRANSPARENCY POLICY
12.1 Student-Centric AI
AI features support but do not replace human educators. No AI system imposes punitive actions or final judgments without review.
12.2 AI Transparency
Users are informed whenever AI is used in assessments, recommendations, or feedback delivery.
12.3 Manual Review Availability
Users may request human review of AI-determined outcomes, such as test scores or recommendations.
13. PLATFORM MODERATION AND CONTENT REVIEW POLICY
13.1 Community Standards
Users must respect others and contribute constructively to the learning environment. Hate speech, bullying, and inappropriate content are strictly prohibited.
13.2 Moderation Team
A trained moderation team actively monitors flagged content, responds to incidents within 24 hours, and takes corrective action.

Smart Scoring supports the five most recent major OS versions for both Android and iOS devices.

Smart Scoring operates in compliance with all applicable Malaysian laws, including the Education Act, Child Act, Communications and Multimedia Act, and PDPA.

The platform upholds principles of fairness, transparency, and child protection, and avoids misleading advertising or discriminatory practices.
17. REVIEW AND AMENDMENTS POLICY
17.1 Annual Review
Policies are reviewed annually or upon significant legal, operational, or technological developments to ensure continued relevance and compliance.
17.2 User Notification
Any material change to the policies will be communicated to users through email, in-app notifications, or the Smart Scoring website at least 14 days prior to implementation.
